A Shakopee boy remains in critical condition after being struck by a pick-up truck while riding his bicycle on Monday evening.

According to the Star Tribune, the boy, age 11, was riding west on 17th Avenue and attempting to cross Marschall Road when he was hit about 8:50 p.m.  It was raining heavily at the time.

Although motorists stopped immediately, the driver fled the scene.
