An Illinois man was killed on Tuesday in a Minnesota boating accident. The accident occurred in Northeastern Minnesota, on Jeanette Lake, about 35 miles Northeast of Orr, Minnesota.
The man died when the boat in which he was riding struck an underground rock, ejecting him from the boat. He was wearing a life jacket, and according to the Star Tribune, “He was pulled from the water and given CPR, but efforts failed.”
The driver of the boat was not injured.
