Minnesota Attorney Fred Pritzker

Fred H. Pritzker is a nationally recognized lawyer with over thirty years of experience representing individuals and families in personal injury and wrongful death claims. Minnesota Attorney Elliot Olsen

Elliot Olsen practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and foodborne illness litigation.  As a recognized leader in these areas, he has taught a number of continuing legal education courses on a broad range of topics, including insurance coverage, appellate advocacy, trial advocacy, various personal injury topics, and tort reform.  He has frequently been named a “Super Lawyer” by Law and Politics, a publication dedicated to promoting excellence in the legal field.

Mr. Olsen received his undergraduate degree from Carleton College and his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  Upon graduation from law school, he clerked for the Honorable Gary L. Crippen of the Minnesota Court of Appeals.  Mr. Olsen is a Certified Civil Trial Specialist with the Minnesota State Bar Association and is a successful veteran of numerous jury trials.  He has also argued a substantial number of appeals.

Before joining Pritzker Olsen, Mr. Olsen was a partner in the law firm of Gislason & Hunter where he practiced for 11 years.  There he gained experience as a defense attorney, representing companies in personal injury lawsuits.  This invaluable experience as a defense attorney benefits his clients at Pritzker Olsen, where he exclusively represents injury victims (plaintiffs).

Mr. Olsen is married to Lea B. Olsen, a broadcaster for the Minnesota Timberwolves.  She does halftime features for over-the-air Timberwolves games and also sideline reporting for Minnesota high school basketball tournaments.  Mr. Olsen and his wife have two young children.

Minnesota Attorney Eric Hageman

Eric Hageman practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, products liability and civil rights/civil liberties.  He has significant litigation experience in state and federal courts. He has successfully tried numerous cases to juries in his career and has successfully argued appeals at both the state and federal level.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Hageman has been named a “Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics, a publication dedicated to promoting excellence in the legal field, for five consecutive years, 2004 through 2010.  He was named a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics every year from 1999 to 2004. He is also AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Hageman received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire and his law degree, cum laude (with honors), from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Minnesota Attorney Brendan Flaherty

Brendan Flaherty represents injured people and their families in car accident, foodborne illness, product liability and wrongful death litigation. In recognition of his achievements, he was named a 2010 Rising Star by Minnesota Law & Politics. Only 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers are included on the list, which highlights Minnesota’s best up-and-coming legal talent.

Mr. Flaherty has accepted an adjunct teaching position at the University of Minnesota Law School. For the 2011 spring semester, Flaherty will teach a course entitled “Practice and Professionalism,” which will introduce students to foundational lawyering skills and professional responsibility issues.

Mr. Flaherty’s article, “Salmonella Eggs, an Update,” was published in the Nov/Dec 2010 edition of Update Magazine, a publication of The Food and Drug Law Institute (FDLI). Read Brendan’s article on the Salmonella enteritidis outbreak (with permission from FDLI).

Mr. Flaherty graduated with a degree in history from Grinnell College and earned a law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to joining Pritzker Olsen, Mr. Flaherty was an associate at the law firm of Campbell Knutson, P.A. where he specialized in civil litigation. Mr. Flaherty also spent two legislative sessions on staff at the Minnesota Senate where he drafted legislation and provided policy research for the Transportation, Environment & Natural Resources, Crime & Public Safety and Judiciary Committees.

Brendan is active in the community and regularly volunteers for youth organizations. He is a Bolder Options mentor and financially supports the YWCA. Every year he participates in a firm-sponsored bowling fundraiser for the Highland Park Friendship Club, an organization that provides teens and young adults with disabilities the opportunity to participate in social and recreational activities.

Minnesota Attorney David Szerlag

David Szerlag practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, medical negligence, catastrophic bodily injury, and foodborne illness litigation. His experience extends into Admiralty, General Liability and Civil Litigation.

Between 1996 and 2005, David presented at the Annual Educational Seminars for Northland Insurance Co., Orion Insurance Co., Patrons Group, and GMAC. In 2003 he was a guest speaker for the Rhode Island Bar Association meeting, “Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Law.”

David’s certifications include Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) and National Propane Gas Association (NPGA). He is also certified as a 29 CFR 1910.120(q) Hazardous Materials Technician (ProBoard).

In 1990 David graduated cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law in Boston, MA., earning his Juris Doctorate. He is a former fire fighter with training in advanced life support and hazardous material.

David is a member of the Minnesota and Rhode Island Bar Associations, Superior Bench Bar Committee, Medical Legal Committee, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).

David served as a National Chairman on Roger William’s University Alumni appeal committee. He is a member of the Continuing Education Advisory Board. He also took time to work with the Coventry Basketball Association, as well as the local Food Bank.

Minnesota Attorney Ryan Osterholm

Ryan Osterholm practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability and focuses heavily on foodborne illness cases. Attorney Ryan Osterholm was interviewed on WCCO-TV regarding food safety at sports stadiums. Click here to see the video.

Ryan received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and received his law degree from the University of Minnesota, focusing on health law.

Prior to joining Pritzker Olsen, Ryan worked as a summer associate at Marler Clark in Seattle, Washington.

Before attending law school, Ryan worked for three years at the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. as a legislative assistant in the area of heath care policy.

Ryan grew up in Edina, Minnesota and currently lives in the Minneapolis lakes area. When not at work, Ryan enjoys running marathons, camping, hunting and fishing. Ryan is a member of the Minnesota Bar.

Minnesota Attorney Renee Pritzker

Renee B. Pritzker received her undergraduate degree with honors from Macalester College and her JD from William Mitchell College of Law. Ms. Pritzker practiced environmental law at Dorsey & Whitney before joining Pritzker Olsen,where she serves as the firm administrator. She is also active in disability rights organizations.
